On April 18, the 4D Printing & Meta Materials Conference took place at the same location. It is the first conference of its kind, now at the 3rd edition, focused on shape memory materials & 4D printing, smart materials & their applications.
Speakers from Keio University (Japan), University of Wollongong (Australia), Eindhoven University of Technology (The Netherlands), Aachen University (Germany), Politecnico di Milano (Italy), Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials (Germany), to name only a few, touched on topics such as 4D Textiles: 3D printed hybrid textiles for shape change and self-assembly | 4D Printing for Shoes and other garments | 4D Printing for new Building Façades Design and more.
At the exhibition on April 17, companies such as FARO, Design8, Interreg project “Accelerate3”, American Elements and Northbridge were present.
